Privacy Policy - Delivery Connect

Delivery Connect is committed to data transparency. This policy details how we handle information to provide services while maintaining no liability for user-to-user interactions. By using the app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Critical: Location Data & Transparency

            Background Location: Delivery Connect collects precise location data to enable "Nearby Job Alerts" (within 15km) and "Live Tracking" for customers even when the app is closed or not in use.
        

This tracking is utilized based on your role:

Drivers: Location is tracked in the background only during an active "JOB" so customers and their shared guests can see your real-time progress on a map.
Nearby Alerts: We use your last known location to notify you of available jobs in your immediate vicinity.

We use this data strictly for fulfilling the service agreement between you and the customer. We are NOT liable for any privacy breaches resulting from shared location between users.

2. Data Collection & Privacy Purge

Verification: We collect and verify your phone number via SMS OTP and Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise security signals to prevent bot activity and unauthorized access.
Visual Data: We store Package Photos and Proof-of-Delivery images to assist in resolving disputes.
Identity Verification (Drivers): Drivers applying for the "Verified" badge (🛡️) must provide a government-issued ID and a liveness selfie. Privacy Guarantee: These sensitive documents are used exclusively for manual manual verification. Once approved or rejected, these images are permanently deleted from our storage servers immediately. We only retain the "Verified" status flag.

3. Third-Party Services & Advertising

We use Google AdMob to provide personalized and non-personalized advertisements. AdMob may collect and use your device's advertising ID (GAID) to serve relevant ads. We also use Google Maps and Firebase. Your data is subject to Google’s privacy standards. If you are registering via Traveler Mode (abroad), you consent to the transfer of data to our servers and Google’s global infrastructure.

4. Right to Erasure (Account Deletion)

You have the absolute right to delete your data. By tapping "Delete Account" in the Profile settings, your Auth profile and Firestore user document are immediately and permanently removed. Certain order metadata may be kept for 12 months for administrative compliance in Lebanon before being anonymized.

5. Disclaimer & Security

While we use industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS), no platform is 100% immune to leaks. By using the app, you acknowledge that Delivery Connect is an intermediary connector and you accept the inherent risks of online data transmission.
