Delivery Connect ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Delivery Connect mobile application and logistics platform. We are dedicated to transparent data practices and protecting your personal privacy. This Privacy Policy details how your personal information is collected, used, and safeguarded when using our platform.

1. Precise Location Data Collection & Background Usage

        Prominent Location Disclosure: Delivery Connect collects precise GPS location data to enable real-time map tracking for customers to see their driver's live progress, and to notify verified drivers of nearby available orders within 15 km, even when the application is closed or not in active use.
    

Location tracking operates under strict guidelines:

Drivers: Location data is transmitted when a driver sets their status to "Working" or is actively fulfilling an accepted delivery or taxi job.
Customers: Location data is accessed to pinpoint pickup and drop-off coordinates and display live driver approach updates.
Users can enable or disable location access at any time via their mobile device system settings.

2. Personal Data We Collect

Phone Number & Identity: Collected during account creation to authenticate users via SMS OTP and reCAPTCHA security signals to prevent bot accounts.
User Profile Info: Name, profile photo, and user role (Customer, Driver, or Traveler).
Driver Identity Verification: Drivers applying for a Verified Badge (🛡️) upload a photo of a government-issued ID card and a liveness selfie. These documents are used exclusively for manual identity confirmation by administration. Once verified, these sensitive verification photos are permanently deleted from our cloud storage servers.
Order & Package Photos: Proof-of-delivery or item photos uploaded by users are stored temporarily for 7 days to assist in resolving support queries before being automatically purged.

3. How We Use Your Information

To connect customers with nearby verified drivers for on-demand rides and express deliveries.
To send high-priority push notifications regarding order status updates and support messages.
To maintain platform security, prevent fraud, and enforce platform rules.

4. Account Deletion & Right to Erasure

You hold the absolute right to delete your personal account and associated data at any time:

In the app, navigate to Profile Settings > Delete Account.
Tapping "Delete Account" immediately and permanently removes your authentication credentials and Firestore user document from our servers.

5. Data Security & Service Providers

We utilize Google Cloud Infrastructure (Firebase) and Google Maps APIs to secure your data using industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third-party advertisers.
